Ms. Ann Marie Gianni selected to be honored as NEW YORK STATE WOMAN OF DISTINCTION, May-11-2003, 11:44 AM The Senate created the "Woman of Distinction" program in 1998 as part of our celebration of Woman in History month to honor exemplary women from across New York state whose singular professional or personal achievements, commitment to excellence, and accomplishments merit special recognition. In February State Senator Kenneth P. LaValle contacted the Rocky Point Rotary seeking nominations of women living in the First Senate District. Ann Marie was nominated and selected for her efforts in support of children's rights and community improvement. A special ceremony will be held in Albany on June 3, 2003 to honor New York's Women of Distinction. During the ceremony Ann Marie will receive a distinctive certificate and have her name added to the permanent roll of women honored in past events. Go Back
