Home   Chamber News Special Thank You - Music & Arts Festival Sponsors & Vendors 13th Annual Music & Arts Festival - Thank You to all!, Aug-23-2003, 7:30 PM 05-19-2003 SPECIAL THANK YOU The C.D.M. Chamber of Commerce, 13th Annual Music & Arts Festival held on May 17th - 18th 2003 at the Cedar Beach, Town of Brookhaven Park in Mount Sinai was truly successful. This success could not of been possible without the professional services provided by the many volunteers, vendors, organization and sponsors working together presenting our area as a great place to live, work and play. Town of Brookhaven Supervisor, John J. LaValle and his staff tops the list of making the festival possible, working hand in hand with C.D.M. Chamber representatives to secure the park and by providing a portable stage for all the L.I. Blues musicians. A special thank you to The Town of Brookhaven Parks and Recreation Department management & staff. The staff worked diligently in providing our visitors, guest, vendors and volunteers with clean facilities, sanitation assistance, showmobile set up and operational assistance which help secure a safe, clean and enjoyable two day event for all in attendance. Our hats are off to the L.I. Blues Society Volunteer Board of Directors, staff and musicians providing a super line up of continual musical performances both days of this event and into the evening for all in attendance to enjoy. WALK radio, on site both days broad casting the event, providing music, gifts and more, increasing the excitement for all! Co-sponsor, The Times-Beacon-Record Newspapers left no stone unturned printing information weekly, for months, providing copy for posters and represented by sending a volunteer to assist in collections of donations. CDM Associates the Yankee Trader and North Shore Sun papers also provided extensive community coverage, all three businesses' truly committed in providing information in the community they serve. The CDM Chamber Board of Directors and 250 member businesses' extend our sincerest and warmest thank you, to all the arts & craft vendors who purchased a site and attended the festival in support of our community programs. The organizations, media & local merchants of the chamber, who volunteered their time, information and service's at the festival, on planning committees behind the scene, who truly represent the meaning of "Bringing Business and Community Closer".
