Home   Chamber News Rolling Oaks Golf Course Rocky Point Town of Brookhaven first public golf course, Aug-23-2003, 7:31 PM Brookhaven Town Supervisor John Jay LaValle working hand in hand with area community groups save 54 acres and brings the community of Brookhaven the 1st municipal golf course at "no cost to residents". Richard Johannessen Rocky Point Civic Association Leader and CDM Chamber of Commerce business member, committed to save this parcel from development, organized a two year campaign of open communications with local leaders and government officials to make the dream of a municipal golf course a reality. CDM Chamber of Commerce President Michael Poveromo and Treasurer Ann Marie Gianni represented our organization at the event. The golf course is located on 25A in Rocky Point directly behind J&R Steak House long time CDM Chamber Member business location. The new municipal golf course is a great addition to our tour and travel program and will increase visitor ship into our business community.   Go Back
