Home  Chamber News Election Day November 2, 2004 Vote because you, Oct-02-2004, 8:20 AM Election Day Tuesday November 2, 2004 Rocky Point High School, CDM Business Advancement Scholarship Award Winner 2003, Ms. Nicole Poveromo is sending home her message to “VOTE” in a unique way! Nicole now attending the Fashion Institute of Design in New York City, for design and display, sent a sample of her work on a window design project, to remind people to vote in the upcoming election on November 2, 2004. Her design and display project was to be bi-partisan, to be able to catch the eye of the people and to remind all to vote. Her “CAN-CAN” dance designed outfit with the words “VOTE” in diamonds on a beautiful leg of a woman dancing, is her way of reminding all to vote because you can, can! We are all proud to be American and being able to choose our leadership now and into the future is the gift of our forefathers. The gift of the art work and the design and display photo remind us to vote, because we can – can! This is also a reminder of how proud we are of the students that win our business advancement scholarships over the years and contribute back to the communities they call home.   Go Back
