Maureen Schneider long term chamber member and Recording Secretary for 11 years. There is no clowning when it comes to the business of representing our chamber and its members. Maureen sits on committee for our chamber on the Brookhaven C.O.C. Coalition, involved with our tourism commission and attends Long Island Convention and Visitors Bureau meeting representing our chamber districts. Maureen has been nominated to be President of the CDM Chamber of Commerce in 2004. Maureen is qualified and most aware of all the duties involved in holding the Volunteer office of the President. December 2005, Maureen was honored as the Times-Beacon-Record Newspapers "Woman of the Year" ...

Original Chamber Director Miller Place/Mount Sinai C.O.C. and as the current Vice-President,  Dr. Gresser has been serving his since 1999. His year of outstanding service has also been complemented with his work presenting music at all of our festivals. He was recognized for his Professional un-ending service over the years by the Board of Directors. Mark was presented a life time recognition award by the President and the Board of Directors.

CDM Chamber of Commerce 2nd Vice-President and Activities Director. Diane was selected as the 2005 CDM Chamber of Commerce "Business Woman of the Year".  A member since 1996, Diane became the first Activities Director, organizing networking events and volunteering her services for chamber events throughout  the year.  Diane is an Advertising Executive with the Times-Beacon-Record Newspaper Group, which has enabled her to help stimulate business growth in our community by offering affordable advertising opportunities such a her creation of the monthly Chamber of Commerce page.

Serious and professional always, Brian has held a volunteer directors position on our chambers board for over 10 years. Serving his second term as Medical Director since 1999 Brain continues to work with all area professionals in presenting medical awareness in our business community. Dr. Yonks was selected as the CDM Chamber of Commerce "Business Man of the Year 2005"...

With the expansion of our chamber community sporting events Andrew volunteered his service to the chamber in 2002. He now attends tour and travel events representing our community at Long Island Convention & Visitors Bureau meetings. Involved with our chambers involvement in the Town of Brookhaven's Wheel Chairs sporting program and many other sports related programs.

Our organization can be traced back to the early 1970. Over the years business leaders from our community have volunteered to the best of their ability to represent our area as one to be proud to live, work and play!

Many previous Board of Directors members continue to serve different administrations as committee leaders, and advisors and continue with their commitment pledged when accepting responsibility, when installed, even after their terms ended.

The current administration is proud of the ground breaking programs and projects of present and past. Past and present leaders will continue to support the future leaders of the Council of Dedicated Merchants Chamber of Commerce in their continued commitment to "Bring Business and Community Closer" for years to come.

Maureen Schneider {Cubby The Clown} started her term as the current president of the CDM Chamber of Commerce in January 2004. Maureen brings years of volunteer service, knowledge and commitment into play with her administration. Past president Michael Poveromo served two terms and completed the last year of the previous president, Coleen Taylors term. Current Vice-President Dr. Mark Gresser is has been serving as the CDM Chamber VP for for the following presidents 2 terms/ 4yrs Paul Houghton, 1 3/4 terms/3 yrs Coleen Taylor, 2 1/4 terms/5yrs. Michael Poveromo and today President Maureen Schneider starting her second year of service in 2006.
